Default loose wiper arm

I have 66 289 in stock condition. When I got in yesterday a.m. for work, I turned on the wipers because of the night's condensation.

Only the right (passenger) side wiper moved! Tried turning off and on again, and same happens. The left arm moves freely when I manually move it.

I wonder your thoughts on this one. Thanks!

Hopefully the wiper arm or rotating mechanism it attaches to isn't stripped. Is it possible to turn them on and look under the dash with a flashlightand see if the arms are moving properly and didn't come apart somehow?

Yep, sounds like a circlip has come adrift. Accompanied by extra clater from under dash??

extra clatter under the dash? (only when I move the wiper arm by hand),,, but to assess/fix?

either... it loks like the dreadedcowl comes out, that's about 215 or so drill-outs right? - or the interior dash/instrument panel comes out (and I suck up the cost of a new dash panel - really, if you take it out, and it has a 6" crack in the centre of it, you don't put the bad back in)

but really,,, I am more inclined to know the following:
I bought a 66 mustang... my husband got a boat...
dont we both win?
