Default RE: 351w hp questions

my old 351w used a mild cam, Procomp HEI dizzy, roller rockers, Flat Head Pistons, Edelbrock 600 Carb, Edelbrock Performer Intake, K&N XStream Filter, Hooker Long Tube Headers and was estimated to put out about 280-300 at the wheels. Which isnt significant but its good. I think they were rated for like 290 back in their day but that was at the flywheel. This was just a couple estimates buy some EFI guys. And that's hp numbers, carb motors seem to be total and complete torque monsters so you really shouldnt be too concerned about numbers on a dyno but moreso what your butt dyno says.

Depends on how much you wanna spend. 400hp pretty easily, the high dollar stuff like CHIheads and superlightweight internals and you could make 500 or more and still have it streetable on pump gas

My old 351W with Alan Root aluminum heads and custom grind Crower roller retrofit cam dyno'd 335 hp and 394 ft-lb at the rear wheels. My low profile intake was definitely holding things back but I didn't want a hood scoop.
