Default best place to buy NOS Mustang parts?

You may have seen my thread about the bus incident....
I want to buy a NOS mirror for the girl. What do you think? Ebay? Is there a better source? I assume things like this at CJPonyParts or wherever would all be repro...?
Thanks all.

I bought a lot of NOS parts on eBay when restoring my car. Also, some of the vendors will carry originals as well as repros but charge 4/5 times the price (it was worth it to me, though)

That guy is the largest NOS parts source I know of. His entire business is selling NOS or used Mustang parts. Send him a message if you're looking for something specific; he's got loads of stuff.

Holy smokes, that guy is proud of his stuff!!!!! $199.99 for a tie rod end??!!?? $54.99 for a cigarette lighter??!!??

Thankfully, I don't care about originality.

Why waste your money?

You don't have any NOS parts on the car now from the looks of it, you have a heavily modifyied mustang. replacement parts are just as (if not shinier) and since you are not looking to win any show trophies in the concource correct shows itis really a waste to buy a NOS mirror. Is this simply because you want the NOS price for a mirror even though you know you will not actually buy it? FWIW NPD sells very nice replacement mirrors and they are well priced.

Yes, but it's all NOS or original, so you know it will fit perfectly, and it'll alsobe show-correct.Those concourse types will pay megabucksto get that last point, and he knows that and makes a living off of it. Nobody's going to buy NOS tie rod ends unless it's for a show car.

For a mirror for a non-show car I think a repro would probably be fine...but the NOS would be better

Thanks KTM, Starfury, Muggsy & Pammie~
I will check the guy on ebay's stuff out and the perogie.com and http://www.allclassicmustang.com/ websites out

And to answer your question dodge,
I was looking at a NOS mirror on eBay for around $70 incl S&H... A repro on the CJ website was $45 not including S&H.
Why would I buy a repro when it had original before and the price difference is insignificant?

Do you really think that parting with an extra $25-30 is a waste of money to get the car back to the way it was when my day started?

EXACTLY!

The price is not the issue. I am not buying NOS tie rod ends here or dropping the original 289 back in it just because the 347 isnt original!!!
But I will see what NPD has for comparison, thanks for the suggestion.
