Default Lokar Pedals

Has anyone install the gas pedal on a 66 Mustang? Was it a PIA and did you need to buy the Lokar throttle cable? Does it replace the stock/original throttle linkage? Thanks in advance for the help.

I installed it on my 68. You will have to use a cable linkage. You will also have to drill a small hole where the cablegoes through the firewall. The pedal bolts up where the existing rod goes through the firewall. It didn't matter to me since I did an EFI conversion. Very nice piece and the only thing is you will need a helper to install it. You have to use an allen wrench from the engine compartment while you align it from the inside. Very easy install though and it looks killer.

Hey, I was just looking and the kit for my car says use the 24" throttle cable Lokar# DP-1000HT. Will that be ok. There really isn't much difference in price. I just want to know which one I should get.

I called Lokar and made sure I had the exact part list I needed then went to Summit and ordered them. Give Lokar a call and confirm your question. Better to get it straight from the horses mouth.

Ok bought the Gas & Brake pedal = $150.00
Ordered the throttle cable = $36.95
Ordered the carb bracket = $20.88
Ordered the kickdown cable = $55.95
+ shipping charges.
Total $263.78
Man I hope it's worth it just for pedals?
