ok i think i know the answer is no but i was wondering if there are any reasonable kits to change from front drum to disc. all the kits i have foudn are around 1000 and thats just insane.

junk yard...just find another old ford...but then again, this isnt the "BEST" method of changing to disc brakes....however the best method involves a tad bit more on the money side.

If you want the stopping power of disk breaks, then you will have to bite the bullet and pay a grand for a front power disk system.

I got a system for my 65 2+2, and I am Soooooo glad I did.

I got mine off of a 1978 Ford Granada. It only cost me 200 bux, and that included turning the rotors and new pads.

ok now what cars can i get the set up from, like obviously i can get them from any 65-73 mustang/ cougar but what else has all the stuff that i need??

The spindle and out and outer tie rod end from a Ford Granada. Not sure about the brake lines.

I used the Stainless Steel Brake kit and it was worth every penny! You get what you pay for!

If your lucky nowadays, but you don't have to spend a grand. Used and reconditioned does just fine. Just make sure there are no problems that you didn't fix.
