Default mae racing - bad deal

has anybody ever bought anything from MAE Racing? I tried to buy a 3rd member from them and sent a check for it in March based on a couple of good referrals on here (now at end of September). Unfortunately, it has been one excuse after another and now his web page is down and if I try to click to see status of my order, I get a web page saying the vendor is no longer using their service. First, it was the gears were on back order and he had tried to contact mebut hadn't heard back(even though he is holding my money), next it was busy, and more busy for several more times with a commitment to send it in a couple of days. Now he isn't returning calls or email. My nephew is at Fort Campbell, may have to pay this guy a visit. This sucks[:@]

Ya, I have never had a problem before buying anything through the internet so I will need to be more careful and stick to the large established brands. A few folks had from here had good experiences but without a large brand......and when I spoke with the guy, he insisted on cash because he didn't like having to pay the credit card fee........ live and learn I reckon

If you mailed the check using the Post Office report them for mail fraud. That might get their attention.

thanks guys, I figure we will start the process. My nephew lives a few hours from this guy so maybe a call from the 101 may help!
