I am wondering if there is a way that I can find out the approximate date that my 68 rolled off the assembly line in San Jose? I know I can get the production number it supposedly was from the end of the VIN# but does anyone know of a way to find the actual date?

My car has to be celebrating its 40th birthday soon!

I dont have any of the old paperwork from the car or previous owner info... Can I get any estimates based upon the VIN#?

Thanks!
