stroked 351w or 460?
Neither one is original to the car so just shooting from the hip I'd saygo big. I often wishthat Iwould have done the FE rebuild and swap on my 67. I have a perfectly good 390 sitting on the floor.[&o]. So if you have access to a nice big block, given it to do over again, I'd probably say "What the hell?!" and go with the big block if it's a toy. If it's a driver go with the 351w. The 351w c/6 rack & pinion setup is not too tough to take.
Ah well, maybe next time.

Why not a stroker based on the 460? The 385-series will handle a lot more power than the Windsor. The only reason I'd pick the Windsor is if you were looking for a road racer and needed the weight balance...and didn't have the budget for an aluminum block.
That said, good luck stuffing the 385 into the engine bay of a '68.

For street the 351 would be better. You can get more parts that make streetable power for the Windsor for cheaper. Big block parts are ex-PENS-ive!! You can make more power than you can handle on the street with a 408, so why do it with a heavier engine? For an all out race application, a stroked 460 would be a complete Goliath, power out the wazoo!!!
im runing the man o war 460 which is a stroked 351w.unless your going to road race it get the 460 to cut back on the weight alum heads and intake help alot. if you get a aftermarket 460 block you can stroke it to a 806.
