Default 331 Stroker Mods Question

I have a 1971 Coupe Mustang with a 331 Stroker, and I want a few more ponies. I know I could put performance heads on, and a cam, but what else could I do thats not so expensive that will give a little more horsepower?

Put it on the bottle.Other than that, matching your heads, cam, and intake will be your best bet.

h/c/i will be the most reliable all the time power, the most cost efficient would be nitrous

Put it on the bottle.
No not the bottle, h/c/i, its true the bottle will get you cheap results initially, but the only juice that should be on/in our cars is the the kind that comes from a grocery store.

Do you have an aftermarket intake??? or headers?

These are reasonably cheap mods that can help your power quite a bit.

Im sorry but that is an absolutely ignorant statement. So because we have classic mustangs we shouldnt use nitrous?

Build your engine the right way and then add a generous shot of dope.

Not to take anything away from nitros, huge power gains can be had instantly, but if improperly tuned, or if there is a "malfunction"instant engine damage can result....faster thanyou can say "boom"...

Yea I know lots and lots of people use nitros without issue, but I guess I just don't trust the stuff as much as the next guy... call it a character flaw...

I have to agree with JMD. To each their own, but NOS is the last thing I'd do after making as much power with the correct parts as I could.
