more agressive.
Try waiting longer than 15 minutes for a response [&:]. Are you at the muffler shop as we speak?
From your sig it sounds as if you have a descent exhaust setup...what kind of headers you have? Aggressive as in idle or appearence?

well its all going to be done this weekend and im trying to order the tips today. its going to be setup with sanderson shories and the flowmaster 44s. and i dont know what sounds the best as far as a 3" tip and longa smaller tip and long? dump it before the axel? or even a dual tip might sound agressive. i want it to sound agressive at rev. it should already sound good on idle. somebody told me if i go to big and long with the chrome tips like a 18by3" itll sound like a truck. [:-]
I love the look of dual tips on a Trans AM, but I wouldnt dare put them on a Mustang.
Id go with the 3inch(dia) long tips from Magnaflow. Stay away from the fart tubes

Not going to make a huge difference, but it'll probably be ahair deeper than if you kept it 2-1/4.
Personally, I don't like tips too much on a straight-bottom valence. I have simple 2-1/4 pipes running to about 1" behind my valence.
I also hate dumps. They're annoying and only really make it louder inside and next to the car. Exhaust is supposed to be heard from behind, not inside the car. Plus, tail pipes actually help with exhaust scavenging in many cases.

not really. If you have 2.25" pipe now, puting a 3" tip on it wont do much. Actually that is kinda small for a 351C that has some work done to it, a stock 2V should be ok with it. With the 44s and a pipe out the back, same diameter as the main pipe, it will sound pretty good. Thing is if the pipe is too small, it will cackle like an old Chevy truck, and gurgle and pop while you decelerate. 2.25" or 2.5" should work good, but 2" and smaller will be full on redneck with 4 whips for the CBs.
The tail pipes tend to quite it, more so inside the car than outside. Behind and around it there will still be that V8 sound, just not so much inside the car, and that is a good thing.

If you are looking for plain loud and mean you should take off the flowmasters and put in glasspacks or cherry bomb exhausts. But they are damn loud and annoying unless you have something with ground clearance like a lifted truck.
no way. flowmasters are the way to go. i think itll just get my chrome tips and be done. it have the cutouts in the valence so itll look wierd if i dont have something there.
thanks guys
