I have the short throw Super Street(I think?) in mine. A straight stick is a bit of a reach, I move my seat back cuz my legs are long, but luckily I'm tall enough that my arms have the reach, I'd prefer a z-type shifter arm so I don't have toreach as muchgoing into 3rd

I have it on a Toploader though, I dunno if the T5 shifter location is farther back or not. I think it's about the same though

I have a toploader but the shifter was in the car when I bought it. It mounts in a different spot on the tranny than the normal "broomstick in a barrel" shifter. It's further towards the front of the tranny so the tunnel must be cut, and patched where the old shifter went through. It appears to be no big deal.

I had the Hurst Super Shifter 3 in my last Mustang with a Toploader. I's very similar to Indy style (straight) shifter. And yes I did have to cut the tranny tunnel, because it places it in a different position because of the straight shifter rods. What a great shifter.

well after further thought and in mind gambling it looks like i will just be going back to upgrading the C4 tranny to hold the power,a nd maybe putting a trans brake on it just for fun. who knows at this point.
