Default how much for 68 coupe?

so here are the specs, 68 coupe, ZERO rust, fresh paint, rebuilt 302, but the interior needs a little work. so how much do you think i can get for it, i was thinking around $8000, but i don't really know.

$8k sounds reasonable but pics would help. whats your market like? that will play a big role. how bad do you need to sell?

Well I am not a pro but I would say that you have a few things going for you.
1) no rust is rare and valuable to anyone.
2) everyone wants a V8 and the rebuilt 302 is a good selling point if it was done well and doesnt have too many miles.
3) the interior is easy and cheap and if you were to do a little more of it yourself, spend say $300 or so... that would help your resale expectations a lot i think.
4) of course "fresh paint" can be a good thing if it was done well. its not a maaco job, is it?

Like I said, its hard to say without seeing pics of the engine and paint and all that jazz. but i dont see any reason why you couldnt sell it for $8k if you found the right buyer. and since time is on your side, you could start at $10k and leave yourself some bargaining room.

you do know the fastback will be a big step up in $... lets get some pics up here!

i think i am going to just stick with my coupe. the reason i was thinking about selling in the first place was cause i didn't think the coupe was as sporty as the mach 1, but i am going to maybe do some suspension stuff and get the stance how i like it, and make it as sporty as posible. also, my car has a 302 right now, but i was thinking about building a 351. will i have to do a whole bunch of stuff to strenghen my car for a 351 or is it apretty strait forward swap?

LOL, you guys are too much!!!

Hey dog, have you thought about stroking your 302 to 331 or 347? That makes more sense to me but if you have access to a 351 already, you could go that route. But don't ditch your 302 without considering a stroker. There is lots of good info on this site about strokers on this forum, do some searches and see what you can come up with and dont be afraid to ask questions on here. Cheers!
