What I've heard from the guys working on the car is that he already has about $40,000 into the car. He has $17,000 in the motor alone. I do like it,but I think the air suspension is a little much.
There are things I would have done differently. He definitely needs to get some bracing in the engine bay (i.e. TPC Shock Tower Brace) & I would have put in a Fuel Safe fuel cell.
The car's been in the shop for at least 3 months now. It was supposed to go to paint like 3-4 weeks ago,but obviously not ready for that.
He's going to paint the car white with the blue shelby stripes. He's going to keep the stock steel hood on it. He said he wants to keep it original looking??? That's another thing I would change. I would go with a Shelby GT350 fiberglass hood, that would still be considered stock original.
By the time he's done with the car, they think he'll have like $130,000 into the car.

I dont see $17K in the motor, but when you pay somebody to do everything, it adds up.
Looks like a normal build to me[&:]

I like what I see! Is that an independent rear (air ride) suspension?

I just couldn't see the leaf springs, I think I see them now, they blend in.

But they do have kits for independent rears with the solid axle. Maybe its not "independent" but just a coil over setup or something. I dont know, i'm not good with suspension
