Default thermostat was install backwards

What effects could I have with a thermostat install backwards? Ran the car for about an hour.

all i have to say is "this side toward engine". if the car did not overheat, you should be fine.

Raditorover flow linefrom thepressure, and thetempguage stayedclose to Red.This occured after aboutrunning for an hour or so. Pulled the raditor hose and notice it was backwards inside the gooseneck.
I'm in the process of getting a temp guage for better reading on the actual heat temp reading. If the engine did overheat what are the signs? Will it continuously stay very hot?

Consider yourself lucky. My Father is 82 and he put antifreeze in my Mother's car oil filler.
I caught it before he even started the car, drained it, refilled it, ran it, drained it again and refilled it a second time .Everything was fine.

If he opens the hood my Mother has orders to call me.
