At $8 an hour you can not get a loan for a pleasure/hobby vehicle you would be lucky to get one for a primary use car.

You might be able to take out an unsecured loan from someone like Citi but the rate will be close to 20%
Obviously age and credit history play a major part on all financing decisions by lenders

Changing the positioning of the pedals on a classic mustang is a very large undertaking. Unlike modern cars both the brake and gas in an old mustang directly attached to the functions they operate. To move these would require significant fabrication. If you are really that short pull the seat up as far as it goes and strap blocks to the pedals. Be sure to put in large springs on throttle so it returns to the off position when you are not pressing down.

Loans for the car are pretty simple, however like stated earlier, it might be hard with your salary. Definatly not impossible, but hard, it just depends on what other bills you are paying out.

Also, I would skip looking at fastbacks or verts, they are usually more pricey. I would look for 64-66 coupes.

All my bills total are no more than $150 per month. So I don't think it should be too hard.

Well, then to answer your question, my bank said they would loan up to $14,000 for my year and body style without seeing it. So, yeah, most places will finance. Good luck and welcome to the forum!!

That's why I mentioned age and credit history are important.

If you are living at home with your parents are 16 yrs old, make $8/hour you will not get a loan of any type without a cosigner to guarantee the loan in the event you don't pay for it.
