Default New engine - must show off

Well, I got my new engine last night. The builder even delivered it to my house because I couldn't get a truck until the weekend to go pick it up. Nice guy, and the engine looks great. Now it's time for the tranny

i sure wish my 6 was that clean..i also have a question.. why a 170 head? also it sure looks like your #1 piston top is blue.. was it painted with out spark plugs? i'm sure the paint will burn off.. those bolt holes are for the p/s bracket i think..

hmm, I don't really remember. I'll check to see if it was painted, but I think it's just the picture fading or something.

Thanks for the tip on the the bolt holes

The 170 head was used because during the magnaflux, we found out the 200ci head was cracked. the 170 head provides a little bit higher CR, and a much bigger carb hole. And, it's pretty much the same head.

Looks like it oughta be good for a couple hundred thousand miles anyhow.

Enjoy.
