I'm new to this site. I have the chance to buy a '67 mustang. I'm looking for online info. for mustang approximate values. Does anyone know of web site(s) to accomplish this? Thanx.

 

u mean like blue book value or something? I think you can get one at like the grocery store?? i think its just more based on the car in questions condition and what not, and not so much the "value for every single 67' mustang"


give the condition of the car and i bet some people could give you an estimate, or pictures....even better if you could do that.

I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into what NADA has to say... I just checked, and it says my '66 fastback has a high retail of $43,200. Somehow, I don't see it fetching quite that much even at Barrett-Jackson! [&:]

 

Don't even waste your time at NADA or Kelly's, they don't go back that far, or if they did it'd show something like $200 due to depreciation (I'm an insurance agent, we use something similar). I paid $1500 for a 64 1/2 (Rally pac, 289) with almost no rust on the whole body, 2 dents on the whole car and otherwise complete needing full resto. I'd reccomend either getting pics to show a resto shop and see what they reccomend, or just haggling down to the lowest price the seller will go. Either way you'll end up with a car that you'll either be able to enjoy, or sell for at least what you have in to it. Mabe check Ebay to see what other 67's are going for in roughly the same condition.. I hope it helps, but there's really going to be no definite answer.

 

Why are looking at high retail. Thats like the highest it would ever go. The average retail fo a 65 fastback was about 22,000$ which is about right

 

There is no book value for these dinosaurs. They are just old cars. Get over it , and live with it. You will get what someone wants to pay for it. That's all.

 

Because that's where the eye tends to go! Quite franky, $22,000 is out of line too. I won't pay more than $12,000 or $14,000 for a 65/66 fastback. I bought mine from the original owner for $4500. Granted, that was a number of years ago. But there are plenty of these things still out there - in good condition - for under $20k.

As for NADA's "high retail" being the highest one would ever sell for - that's my point... There's no way a 65/66 fastback would sell for that much! Why am I even looking at the high retail? Because it's so unbelievably wrong!
