I replacedsome of my chrome, andpolished the rest of it.

Therear bumper was replaced, mostly due to the fact that over the years,it got bent up pretty bad (and I don't have a front bumper!). Other smaller pieces I polished, like the side mirrors. First pass with steel wool pad, then finsihed it up with Metal Polish

from the product and the signature I guess you know what you're talking about.
I never had the guts of going near chrome with a steel wool.
wouldn't that just scrath the surface to **** ?

No - Chrome is a very hard coating. However,I only use the steel wool (fine)if there is rust coming through, or pits in the chrome.

Not true. Chrome is some hard schit. That's why they line rifle barrels with it.

Sure, as long as it's not pitted or totaly worn away. Get that extra fine steel wool and use some elbow grease.

I'm told Zoops is awesome to use.

Funny thing is I just called the company that does rechroming this morning to get price and time information, and it's not nearly the cost I thought it would be.

When they opened my chrome intake manifold at the auto parts store, about 10 guys were in there, and they all oohed and aahed and several said "it's going to be a bitch to keep clean". But I have chrome valve covers and so far, a microfiber towel is working to get rid of fingerprints. Guess after a while of being on I'll learn how difficult it will be to keep clean, especially with a chrome alternator, chrome timing cover, chrome manifold and chrome water pump among other things.

I thought Zoops was for polished aluminum.

I use 0000 steel wool and it will take off most rust and other junk. Works like a champ.
