Headlights Issue
When i turn on my headlights, the drivers side is normal (shines as it should). The passenger side is dim and murky.
I replaced the headlights themselves (they needed replacing anyway) hoping that would help. It didn't. I checked the fuse and traced the wires as best I could; didn't see anything wrong with the wires.
I replaced the voltage regulator about 6-7 months ago.
What else could it be?
Since I am mechanically challenged, talk slowly and draw pictures for me...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure, but sounds like you may have a dirty/ corroded contact or ground. I would pull the bulb and get an emory board from your wife (drugstore if you don't have a wife) and inset into the plug where the blades of the ligh slide in to clean up the contacts. Also get some electric parts cleaner and spray it down good to flush out any of the crud. The check your grounds ans make sure they have clean metal to metal contact. Don't know which ground may effect this particular problem, but in general you should make shure all your groun connections are clean. There is a ground at the volt reg, stater solenoid, block to battery, and block to fire wall. Make sure they are clean metal to metal contact.
Also, make sure the contacts in your fuse box are clean, although I would think all your lights would be having a problem if it was a dirty fuse contact.
Since this is isolated to one light, Itend to think its prob the plug on the wire harness.Anyway, I am not an electrician, nor do I play one on tv, but this would seem to be the likely issue. If you don't get it solved, hop on over to the vintage mustang forums. There is a member there named midlife who know a lot about electrical and I am sure he would be happy to help.
Let us know how you make out. Good luck.

+1 on the problem probably being isolated to somewhere between the driver's side light and the passenger side. Your wiring for the headlight's runs in series. You have one powered wire each for the low and brights. The two wires go to the headlight side, then splice off and go to the passenger side. Each headlight has it's own ground that comes off the pigtail and grounds to the chassis in the local vicinity of the headlights themselves. If only the passenger side is acting up, them my guess is that the ground at the passenger side is crappy. Unbolt the grounded wire on that side, clean all contacts off with some sandpaper and reattach to the body. The wiring between the drivers side and passengers side may be brittle and coming apart inside the protective covering, but I can't imagine it being any worse than the rest of your wiring. Give the ground a good cleaning and see if that doesn't fix the problem. I definitely think it's something in the wiring AFTER the driver's side headlight though. Good luck!!
