Auto to 4 speed

Default Auto to 4 speed

i have done 4 speed conversions on other cars..Challenger and Corvette, whats involved in doing an auto to 4 speed converion on a 67?

This site details the swap to a 5-speed (which is what I would and have done in two different cars) but it will give you a general idea of what's involved. The 4-speed swap is pretty similar except for the bellhousing, throwout lever and clutch linkage. Get a catalog from NPD or the like and look at the diagrams and parts listings to see what you need for the stock setup.

IMO, the 5-speed swap will give you better performance for about the same or less money.

+1 on the 5 speed get a 5.0 flywheel and finger clutch setup too.
You will be happier in the long run and so will your right leg.

Look in the faq theres a couple links do you already have the 4 speed or just want a stick im with gothand a t5 would be better its a 5 speed with a overdrive gear.
