hey ive got a friend that has a set of 17x8 torque thrusts that came off his 69. the back size tires are 40s and the fronts are 45s. anyone have a picture or about how big they would look?

Just because the sidewall profile number is numerically higher between two tires doesn't mean the one with the higher profile is nessecarily taller.

A 255/40 run in the rear and a 235/45 or 225/45 run in the front net out to almost identically sized tires (diameter) with visual side profiles that match.

I used to run a 255/40 rear and a 235/45 in the front. With the brand of tires I was running I did net out to a front tire that was .1 inch taller but as soon as the weight of the car was on who could tell

Ah didn't know that thanks. Wheels arn't my specialty. I just thought that one was the diameter measurement, and one was the width, didn't realize different combos could equate to different sizes. Thanks!
