'67 or '68 measurements
My buddy and I are building a '68 Coupe with an entire '95 under carriage. We have most of the bugs worked out, but I'd love to have some info from any 67 or 68 owners who have mostly original cars.
What I need is the actual wheelbase, distance from lower corner of door to center of wheel, and ground to quarter lip height in the center of the arc. We are trying to get the wheelbase/wheel centering as close as possible to original, and unfortunately the 68 was in really rough shape when we started.
I realize this info is probably in shop manuals and such, but that's really the only measurements we need and I hate to spend money unless I have to. We are doing this whole thing on a really tight budget!
Thanks to all who may be able to help!

RE: '67 or '68 measurements
If you're on a 'tight budget', you shouldn't be doing anything requiring fabrication. I don't know what you mean by 'entire undercarriage', as it's not something you can just unbolt and swap. From the looks of it, you basically want to put the 68 body on the 95 chassis. It is neither easy nor cheap, and if you're asking questions here and trying to save $40 on assembly books, frankly you're in way over your head.
Check out http://www.sn65.com/for an example. They did a top notch job of combining an sn95 and a 65 fastback. It was a long, expensiveprocess and very, very difficult.

ok, so maybe the tight budget comment was so I didn't get replies telling me to buy books. I have seen the SN65 page and that is where we got the idea. Plus, I got the rolling 95 GT for $350 from a junkyard. The 4 wheel disc brakes, new floor pans, new trunk, new frame rails, new master cylinder, new brake lines, etc. etc. ad infinitum, would have cost me MUCH more than that to replace on the 68.
Plus, Terry has all the tools, and piles of metal, so fabrication isn't really an issue. The frame has been lengthened to 108" according to the specs I could find on 68 wheelbase, but the wheels don't seem to want to center in their openings. I was just looking for those dimensions for ease of assembly.

I appreciate the help, and that is a very cool attatchment. But, the problem is the 68 frame stuff is laying in front of the shop in a pile.
The 68 is already down on the 95 chassis, we just need measurements on a stock car to find out exactly where the wheels go in the fender arc. I know, we should have measured before we took the car apart, but didn't think about it.
As soon as we get those measurements, or just fake it, the body will be ready to be welded to the chassis, and then we can start the real assembly. Hoping to have it driveable by Christmas, then we'll have to take it apart for paint!

Dude, excellent info on the height and floor height! Can you measure yours in a straight line from the rearcorner of the door to the center of the rear wheel? That is the main thing we are looking for right now. We aren't for sure if the wheels were perfectly centered in the opening, or if they were forward a little. From the pics I have seen, depending on mods, they can be either way!
