Default hand bending brake lines

anyone hear of the tri-armor brake lines you can get from Napa??? they can be bent by hand instead of having to use a tool to keep it from collapsing. and they're not much more expensive than normal lines.

Why not just spend a bit of money and get a tubing bender? They're handy for a lot more than just brake lines, and it makes it look 10x cleaner

Heck, I bent my own lines on the orange Mustang, no biggie. Prefer the tool with the rolling wheel as opposed to the cheap kind.

Making your own lines is a piece of cake. As mentioned, be sure to use the tool with the aluminum wheel on it. Those lines you bend by hand have a black/charcoal look to them- I like the satin metal look for old car applications myself.

I work at Napa and really prefer the tri-armor lines. We generally try not to sell the standard steel stuff unless absolutely necessary. Tubing benders are definitely great, but sometimes they're not an option, or it's just easier to make a quick bend by hand.

I've seen them look like stainless. besides if you are fabricating from nothing it would be easier to make the curves where you want and fix them if you need to.

Where can I get these lines?? The NAPA stores int eh area keep trying to seel me the tubing bender. The guys dont seem to know what I'm talking about when I say "handbendable". They think I'm looking for the tubing bender. Frustrating to say the least.

you can try asking for "tri-armor" lines.... I really haven't asked for them yet, I'm still several months away from that point.
