Default 66 Gastank question

Really 2 questions. 1) is there any tricks to removing a fuel tank from a 66 vert, it looks pretty cut and dry. 2) i need to drain the tank and it has leaded fuel in it, will it hurt a unleaded car to put the leaded fuel in it? Wish me luck Im restoring the trunk section now. Thanks guys and gals.

The leaded fuel will causee problems with the catalytic converter. My question is, where did you get leaded fuel?

I haveto add lead to the fuel. I just filled my 66 up and now I have decided to remove the tank to re-do the trunk.

How much leaded fuel to dispose of? Burn it in the lawn mower, boats, etc. Donate to the _____.

But do not burn it in any car built after cat converters or just dump it into the ground.

You mean a lead substitute which isnt lead but not a good idea to use on anything that takes unleaded fuel. Why are you re doing the trunk?

For surface rust, a cupped wire wheel on an angle grinder works real good for me. Then POR 15 or similar to keep it from coming back.

well, one way to safely grind on the tank is to drain all the gas out and then fill it up with water
