Default Back Glass Removal

Need some advice on removing the rear glass from a '66 coupe without damaging the stainless trim. I've cut the rubber off the inside about as much as I can and it still doesn't seem to want to come off.
Thanks

The trim is held on with spring clips. You need a trim removal tool to remove. There are 2 types. The one I like for this works like a pair of pliers. Slide it under the trim and then slide it along until you feel the clip. Then squeeze the handles and that clip will come loose. Keep going aroud until you get them all loose.

I got mine at Pep Boys, but just about any auto parts store will have it. One more thing. That first clip you try will frustrate you until you figure it out. Once you figure out that first clip out the rest will be easier.

Yea,be very careful, after taking my time getting all the stainless trim off perfectly and getting my windshield out,it slipped out of my hand a little, barely touched the garage floor and cracked. [X(]

Thanks everyone. I'll have to try to get a tool and see if I can get it that way.
