well the exhaust is all finished now. the shortys didnt seem to add much or any sound at all. i havent really gave it a good rev yet but they dont seem to be really agressive. maybe a bit more throughty. so whats next?

h or x pipe? ill be getting about 100 extra buckaroos tomorrow for a small job so that should cover a custom one from the shop. is x or h better for sound, performance (one torqueyer or more hp?)

give me your knowledge!!
will that add a significant change in sound? itll equal it out obviously

h or x pipes will only make it quieter in terms of sound(generally) but you'll pick up torque(usually). x's work a bit better, but are also harder to fab so they cost more. The 2 biggest things(other than engine power output) that effect sound are mufflers and pipe diameter

H and X pipes do nothing for the sound they only ballance dual exhuast out. if you want sound ur gunna need to go to bigger pipes/ better muffler. What do you have on there right now?

yeah its fine. i was jw if the x or h made a diff. it sounds great. its bone stock so a cam will def. add to it. i have super 44 flowmasters and shorty headers. oh btw. i know the mufflers have to get broken in but do the headers also with the heat over time?

I think I will have to disagree. My vote would have to go the guy who ALWAYS wanted to "shake the ground".

If it's stock then you might as well stay 2.25". An x or h pipe may mellow it out some, but you'll prolly pick up power, so it can't hurt. You could bump up to 2.5" and get a bit more sound out of it, and with 351 cubes it shouldn't hurt your power that much, maybe not even enough you'd notice, but it will give you room to grow as well
