I've seen 67 fastbacks going for 6-8 grand here and all that's left is the door handle......And that needs to be replaced... so for 3500 for shell......does it realy mater if it's an I6? You can always find a relic V8 tag
Keep it in the back of your mind and you may have to come back to it later...

You can have this for $7000
No engine or tranny, needs much sheet metal, C code.

if its just a rolling chasis and the fronts are upgraded to five lug . what does it matter if it was an original i6? just swap the rear. offer him 3K

The trend with the fastbacks seems to be that they are continuing to climb in value and I don't see them coming down anytime soon. If you're concerned about the amount of work this car needs I'd continue to look and try to find one needing less work for a little more money.
I don't think the Dynacorn bodies are going to help bring down the values of originals buthopefully they'll keep some originals from being cut up for eleanor conversions.

for upstate NY, I'd say that isnt all that bad....most have rusted beyond repair. or at least from what I found here around albany.

see if you can get it for 3-3.3k
