was thinking about replacing my stock shifter...
any advice on a good one or possibly how to repair the stock one
shifter jiggles and can slip out of park...

If its a 4 speed go Hurst Completion plus I have had it for 15 years never had a problem once the rods were adjusted.

Take the stock one out and you can get the bushings to rebuild it. It is very easy.
