mini tubs. move the inner wheel well, add a strip of metal and re-weld. seems like it could be done in a day.

There's more to it than that, depending on the car. It may require removal of rear seats, modification of the trunk, possibly even a different fuel tank. Trucks are obviously the easiest, since it's just bed and much less involved.

If you go much more than 1" or so, you'll probably bepretty close tothe rear frame rails. There just isn't much room to move in before you have to move or trim the rails.

Frame rails and leaf springs are the problem.
Putting in a back half is the way I would go in a kit form.
For what you get the price isnt that bad.
Not a fan of the fat rear tire myself but have thought about it to get Corvette size rubber on all 4 corners.

im just talking about moving the inner wheel well so it is even with the frame rail on a 65
