Default Radiator to hot

I have a two coral radiator, with a new cap, after driving the car for while, water will start to come out the top overflow hose.
Should I replace my stock thermorstats? not sure of the degree ( 180 or 190) and should I go with a 160 degree. Or what else could be cause the overflow?
Thanks

Take a look in the Top section for overheating help.

Add an overflow tank. Also, the 2 core (not "coral") may be a little wimpy, consider a 3 core.

If you don't have an overflow tank, do not fill the radiator to the top or it will push out the overflow tube, under normal conditions. The coolant should be 3-5 inches below the top of the radiator.

I just installed a two row (15/16 inch diameter tube!!) ALL ALUMINUM direct replacement radiator. Aluminum cools 4X as well as brass tubes. Looks cool too!! Just google "67 ford aluminum radiator". There are lots of "almost fits" but this place offers the dual row for around $250 delivered. Made in china, but excellent quality, and pressure tested. I'd give you the address, but already lost the darn receipt...

If you end up replacing the radiator I also suggest a 2 core aluminum made by Northern. Its a reasonable price for the excellent quality and direct replacement.
