Default Body Dimensions

I would appreciate the assistance of someone with an unmodified or lightly modified 67 or 68 coupe. I am looking for height measurments from various places down the side. For instance center of front fender arc, top of front fender at headlight, top of cowl, door handle, top of rear wheel arc, top of quarter extension fin. I am doing some serious modifications to mine and would like to have it at or below stock ride height.

Additionally, if anyone has one up on blocks, I'd love to know the distance from the wheel mounting surface side to side. Track measurements on all sites are unreliable due to different wheel spacing, and different points that everyone measures from. I'd like to propose a standard of measuring mounting surface to mounting surface....near the studs of course, drum or disc, it really shouldn't matter much.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone might be able to give.

I understand. I appreciate the reply though. First one in about 12 hours since I posted it. Guess no one has any unmodified Mustangs....lol.

Mine is unmodded. Only thing is front is 1 inch higher than back. So my measurements would be off.

How come its 1 inch higher? Spring shackles? Extra springs? Mine is going to be sooooo modded, people here will probably ban me!

Oh duh, you said front is higher than back. Probably just old springs.

I think it is because i have a 200 in it. Not a V8, Mine has the I6. So i think the weight isnt enough in the front to make the springs level out.

Yeah, that makes sense. You know, I know a guy who has a 5 lug rear end and front end if you ever want to swap over, I'm sure I'd sell them real cheap! LOL.

That would be very cool and greatly appreciated. For some reason, and its probably me, I don't seem to get a lot of replies here, guess I am too new!

I'm also going to try to chase one down this weekend, I think I know where there is one sitting.

Ok here are some of the measurements i got. For the cowl all you need to do is add the measurement of the top of the fender with the front cowl 1 pic. The arc pics are the ones off the fender above the tires. Hope these help. You dont have to take off the 1 inch. Car leveled out when on flat surface.
