Yeah old redneck lol, then it turned green the big hood seemed to jump up 3 feet and we were gone. I hit about 14 before I understood the 427 cobra jet and 4 speed toploader and 411 gears came form his totaled Fairlane drag car he had pictures of every where. All that is left is the cobra long dual 4 barrel air cleaner hanging on his wall now. His Ex-wife pushed him into selling it around 85-86? For the heafty sum of $3,500!
He still tells me never sell or get rid of you Mustang youll regret it the rest of your life.
That is what got me into cars.

My son at 10 was cut loose in my Mustang with its old setup 40 over GT40 heads 289 4 speed toploder and 9" with 373 gears. In a huge parking lot we were just sideways then shift and spin out, he stalled it several times lol. It had a stiff clutch kinda of like a off or on switch.
Fire it up and try again. Hes 21 almost 22 now came over to help me out on my project today and told me that is still his favorite memory with me and him. Barley seeing over the steering wheel and trying to control the car as I told him just pat the gas and steer it will do the rest nothing to hit have fun.

 

Took my car back in Wales to be dyno tuned - there was a Maserati Bi-Turbo there. Asked the guy why it was there and he says it was there to have the engine pulled to change the timing belt!!! 3k POUNDS for the job - $6,000!!
