Default 64 1/2 coupe

I found a 1964 1/2 coupe in my area here are the specs: 260 V8 F code numbers matching, 3 speed, clean title. He says it needs a new master cylinder and new fuel pump. The guy wants $5000. So what else should i plan to replace on this car and how much will it cost? Also i want to rebuild the motor and make it a little faster. Will i be able to make the car run 13's in a quater mile without swapping the engine for like a 302 if i rebuild it? Thanks for the help, i new to mustangs.

Change to a dual master and disk brakes. If you plan to go fast stock drums won't stop you quick.

Assuming the body is in good condition, doesn't sound like a bad deal to me..

The 260 is the same block as the 289 and 302 i believe 5k isnt bad depending where you live and what shape its in.

can't tell about pricing, but as mentioned above this car has a single master cylinder.
this should be changed. as well what everyone seems to say:
get a bucket of water and pour it over the cowl. if you have water leaking inside (the inside floors get wet), then stay away from that car (at least for that money as it's a mojor repair)
