would be recommended to replace the stock floppy auto handle on the C4? it's a 67 - and i was looking at hte B&M quicksilver, but does it fit? or what? just wondering before i buy it or not or if anyone else has some input on it.

I'd just spend the few bucks on new bushings and rebuild the shifter. Personally, I think the aftermarket shifters look more at home in early Camaros than Mustangs.

Plus one on that! After market auto shifters look a bit silly in an old Mustang. The stock shifters are not hard to rebuild.

If you do want an after market shifter the B&M Pro Ratchet is a good fit.

I have one and am pretty happy with its looks, fit and function.

If it just wobbles, its pretty dang easy to fix. You can get a set of bushings from any catalog for a few bucks and you just take the shifter out and put the bushing out and it wont wobble at all. I did it in a few minutes.

no, i have to replace it. the lower end of the shifter and all the links are rusted beyond belief i'm surprised it worked. that's why i'm getting rid of it all. being that this will be a more street/strip then more to strip orientated car that's why i was asking

if you have to replace it I would look more into the B&M. I personally just think that would be more fun to drive, and it might be cheaper.
