Only a guess, but I think you will be OK with that tire. Also the 1" drop will look good. It would be nice to test fit a set of tires and rims if someone will let you use theirs so that you don't get into a backspace issue. I like a lower stance, especially if its on a resto. Let us know.

yeah. i hope the 16x7 are a big enough rim to where the drop covers the wheel space or at least most of it. the 70 has alot of room in the rear. what do you think? a 1" drop all the way around and cut it down if its too high?

Can you borrow a tireof that size? It seems like the radius on a 70 is ainch or twolarger than a 7 or 8. You may need a taller tireor may opt for 17'sor even 18'sinsted to fill the well. I would check with a tire store and tell them your situation and see if they can help, sometimes they will havea display that ismounted and you can get a better idea before you spend your money. I have 245-40-17's and 275-45-17 on the rear on my 67 (I did have to fiddle with the rear though). Also she is dropped a couple of inches. Heres a photo that they used in a magazine write up. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/DSC_0408.jpg

well ill see how the tt2 look on the car and post a pic and then ill figure out what will look best and get some oppinions. i think i could fit a 245-50 insted of 245-45 right now and that will help.
