I am satisfied with a Straight 6 and the 2.3L, If I ever swapped that's what I would do. Thanks.

Oh, and sorry for bringing up the Honda, heh, You know it will happen one day.

The 2008 V6 mustang doesn't even get 20 mpg city mileage!!! You can do anything you want, but IMHO why own a Mustang that doesn't have at least a little oomph. If you do put a honda or something in it you should probably replace the badging and call it a Donkey rather than Mustang!!

Don't get me wrong, I am actually thinking of my next project already which I'm leaning toward putting a 67 or 68 body on a 90's V6 Mustang lower half with the later model running gear. This one will be a father son project and I want my son in a reliable safe car with modern safety devices like airbags. Humongous project, but he likes the classics right now and if that continues it'll give us something to work on together and get him something I'm not afraid for him to drive on a regular basis.

The other question you need to ask is if it's worth the time and money to actually do the swap. How long do you think it would take to recoup the cost of the swap in gas savings?

LOL...as funny as it sounds.....

The red one is heavily modded...runs a 12.2 best so far.
The white one is essentially bone stock...prob runs high 15s (if that)

They get the same mileage

Gratuitous Pic

The way I feel, If you have to worry about gas mileage, you shouldn't be driving a classic. Buy a Vespa.

try a geo motor. I'm sure it would fit in a mustang engine bay 1.2L I believe.

Lol, the 4 cylinder is a 1.3L and the 3 cylinder is 1L but it would have a hard time moving a classic down the road

Believe it or not, my beater car has achieved 298miles on 3.8 gallons (i think thats what it was)..either way, it came out to 78.01mpg..no lie
