Its just my opinion but a tunnel ram on a 289? That motor better be built and modded pretty good or you are just wasting your time and your $,not to mention that if the motor is BUILT to the hilt you had better have damn good brakes to stop it!![8D]

What we're saying is, putting a tunnel ram on a 289 is pointless - now, if you want to drop like a 351 or a 408 in there or something, then YES, put a tunnel ram air on there if you want. Do you have a plan for this car? If you want it to be a daily driver, then there is absolutely no reason for the tunnel. If you want it to be a pure racer, then why the heck are you going to have a 289 in there?

We're not trying to bash you, just inform you there are two sides to it.

Now, speaking of this mustang, you said you don't have it yet, but do you have any pics??

a single 4bbl on a good intake almost always makes more power than any dual carbed setup unless on an extreme high rpm race motor

asu-158 this is what you need:
qty-2 390cfm carbs
tunnel ram
weind blower linkage(thers are cheper linkages around but last thing you want is for youre gas pedal to get in the middle of traffic)
high flow fuel
air filters
scoop youre choice in style
check out summit or jegs for youre fuel line
and of coures what every body else has been saying make sure the motors built for it:
cam,roller rockers
built heads ( mine are ported and polished and have biger valves)
headers, mufflers ect.
stall converterat least 2500rpm
CD box i would recomend MSD
I think thats about it for the basics i hope it helps!
