Default stance questions

I see alot of stangs on the road with the nose looking like its slightly higher then the rear and some that have the big tires on the back and look like their doing a nose dive. What's the difference and why???

Front end higher is stock look
Rear end mucho higher and big tires with nose way down is 80s

Low and level or low and slight rake to front is modern hotness

Yup, nose high is the "saggy butt" look that most people want to get rid of, nose low is "raked"...i think both can be cool if set up right

alot of the sagging rears i see is due to old leaf springs, that was my problem. but i guess it all depends on what the driver wants. alot of people like to lower their mustang by an inch or so, but id rather raise it a bit seeing as how ill mess up my fenders if i turn into a driveway too hard [&:]

they are low enough already as they are in my opinion, i still scrape on speed bumps sometimes even if im just rolling in neutral.

hmm I always like the "saggy butt" look better it looks more retro, but as far as handling and performance is there any difference. Is there a reason its higher stock?

well i didnt replace my suspension, when i bought the car the previous owner had done it already so im not sure how it handled beforehand. but i did do the leaf springs myself, i went from old 5 leaf to new 4 leaf and it raised it about 1/2 inch and it handles much better on turns (seems like it doesnt fish tail much anymore). also the ride is stiffer, i dont bounce anymore and hit my head on the roof when i go over railroad tracks.

but if your talkin about a track car, people have told me they get rear suspension from the 4 banger mustangs because they compress easier therefore providing more weight/traction to the rear wheels on a hard launch. just what ive heard, no experience with that though.

Nose high means you need new rear springs...

Look at the first picture in my signature. It looks sweet, but its just cuz there are 6 people crammed in it. My tire was rubbing on the fender on every bump. It looks sweet tho!

Yeah my headers scrape on everything

it's annoying as hell!
even my driveway (really long and gravel)
it seems to be 99.9% level but my headers find places to scrape
