rear suspension

New HD shackle kit for the rear. Slather on the included grease. Being from California, I've never really had to fight with eyelet bolts, so I think it really depends on where the car has been (salted roads, etc).
I'm also a fan of using a local spring shop instead of *off the shelf* stuff. They can build you a progressive spring pack that gives a nice ride but has more bottoming resistance. Go to a local scale and get a rear axle weight with 1/2 tank of gas, and take that information with you to the spring shop. A good shop will ask a lot of questions, so they get it right the first time. Also doulble check that they use an American steel spring provider. From my experience this equates to better quality control, and greater spring life.
Lastly, on assembly just snug up the front spring eyelet and shackle bolts. Do not complete final torque of these bolts until the car is on the ground and you've backed up and down the driveway curb a time or two. At that point I like to back up a set of ramps, and torque to factory specs.
Good luck,
