How do you dis-assemble the gas cap (spring and seal) to get to the mustang emblem off the cap? Thanks

 

I don't know! I have a 67 BULLITT and I'm trying to do the same thing! I can't takeoff the emblem with out messing it up and it's the "original" soI can paint it
any help would be nice

I just bought a complete new one...save the original and buy a new one

 

hmmm i thought about doing this for mine, not sure how it would be be done. The emblem is on there tight though, maybe it is like bonded or welded to it.

if its that important just stat taking it apart, theres nothing u can't put back together
