I stopped by Galpin Fprd (the largest Ford dealership in the U.S.).

Anyway I was looking at a triple black (vert) 500GT Shellby - list $51,000 plus 15,000 over list - when the floor manager approached.We began talking about the KR which will probably be going out at $100,000.After checking outa couple of Saleens, a Fouse, anda "Galpinized Boss", I showed him a picture of my '66 Fastback.

His reply: Oh, you have a real one.

 

hahaa...Ive talked to a few people who would rather spend the 50,000 - whatever, on "real" mustang. I see where they are comming from...might aswell get one with the history and stuff

 

lol nice. id still take any sort of gt500.

 

No way would I trade my '66 for a new Shellby.

 

When my brother went truck shopping i went with him.We was at a dealership they had a evo8 on the showroom floor he saw me looking at it. And said its the fastest car hes got i laughed and said im not going to down grade and pointed to my 68 in the parking lot. He kept going on about how fast the evo8 and it would beat me. I just laughed when we left i lite up the tires you couldnt see my car he gave me a dirty look guess he seen i wasnt lieing to him.

 

The new mustang created an itch.I scratched it by buying an old one at a fraction of the price. Never looked back.

I thought you guys were Mustang fans? A mustang is a mustang even if it wears a II or a V6 emblem....

 

Only mustangs ill own is 64-73 i like the rest of them just not enough to own one but each there own.

 

i dont even like the 71 thru 73 that much. id only get a 65-70, or a foxbody for parts
