Default engine question

buddy has a old 1972 F100 302 engine chilling in his shed - was rebuilt and never reinstalled. anyone know the particulars on this? i'd like to maybe replace my 289 with it if it's worth it and install my new cam and stuff on that engine if it's worth it, anyone know?
