It arrived
Pics posted. I am just wanting to cut enough to get the hood latch support bar in the valance so that i can bolt it up.

My lower peice has that same problem. I am going to have to cut it at the same location as yours. I was expecting something like that. You think they would make it fit without having to hack up a peice of fiberglass. Damn.
I know. I was going to take out the bar and then found out it was part of the hood latch. Hopefully it wont take long after we cut it. My dad even talked about grinding the bar down to make it work.
Ok we have been working on this since about 6:00. It fits really bad. I have had to take off the bumper. We are now having to cut more of the valance than expected. Also it looks like it will be short. So this is going very slow and miserable.
Friend of mine installed a R-mod valance on his daughters '66 coupe. The same thing with the hood latch was causing him problems and the fact that you can see the latch assembly through the valnace. He just took the latch part completely off and installed a set of hood pins as a backup to the hood latch catch. Looks clean and even better with the hood pins. This is what I am going to be doing with our '65 coupe when we get to this point.
