Default help please

all my spark plugs were so loose i didnt need the socket to take them out. my problem is my car is making a odd popping noise and acts like shes going to die. im thinking its my distrubitor, what do u guys think?

After you tightened the plugsdid you getthe wiresback in the rightorder ??

Sounds like you have some plug wires wrong after you tightened the plugs(I am assuming you did).If all your plug wires are right check your timing!![8D]

I had an old ford truck and one of the plugs worked itself loose. Made a bunch of popping sounds also. Then the plug backed all the way out, and it was REALLY LOUD popping sounds and ran like ****.

+1 to what everyone said, sound like a back fire as well so check the points and condenser and make sure they're gapped properly

thanks everyone. i figured it out, my points were gapped to far apart, the plugs were gauged to far apart, and the wire in my distrubtor was grounding itself out and my timing was off a little bit

me too, it is way to cold to be working at night on my car with wet clothes on.
im going to wrap that wire in a rubber hose tomorrow
