Nice picture! I just realized that I forgot to put the rubber plugs in upper cowl before putting the fenders on. I bet that will leak right into my vents.

I don't think the fenders should be sealed to the body at the window, if that's what you're suggesting (even though it is tempting). The water should run down beneath the fender without getting in the car. It might be leaking between the layers of rusty metal in area A or through a grommet hole further down. I'd remove and treat the rust, prime and paint with Rustoleum and seal it with some rubberized sealant to see if that helps.

Probably!
I just now got your picture to come up. I see where you are talking about. After you get it clean, a brush on seam sealer should work. I would think about fixing the plastic plugs permanantly, especially if those are original plugs. I can't find anybody that can tell me what those holes are for, other than cause leaks.

those plugs don't do anything to keep out water. they occupy the same space as the area below the cowl grill. my guess is it's an access point to clear debris?

Tomorrow im going to prime with dp40 epoxy primer
Then add the 3m seam sealer to the seams
