I love my Optima! There are several power levels. I bought the big one to keep things lit up hot!

There are only a couple sizes, the larger sizes having more power. A 34/78 is the largest car battery size available and will work fine.

There are different types of Optimas for different applications. If your car is a daily driver with no huge loads on the electrical system (ie. stereo and large amp), a Red Top will work fine. If your car tends to sit for a while, or if you have a high powered audio system in it, a Yellow Top will be better suited to those conditions.

I have a Red Top in my daily driver and it works great. Starts every time, has plenty of reserve for continued cranking, and it's already about 4 years old.

Hi!

I will mount my Battery in the trunk, too.

And for the wiring to my Starter i use welding-Cable froma Ship-Wharf. Its cheap, has dozen of lines inside and is very soft to handle

How are you thinking of routing the cables?

Hi!

3 Ways: Inside the car, its hard when you use very fat cables
Inside the side-rocke pannel: My way, most work, but nothing to see
Under the car: Easiest way, when you get welding cable its ready to use oudside

JamesW, that looks like the way to go. I couldn't tell exactly where you ran the vent tube, bottom of fender wells!
