Default help!

so i went out to start my car today when i got home from school and i noticed there was water all over the center counsel and gear selector. now there looked like there was some water leaking from the rear view mirror by where it meets the windshield. so could there be a leak in the weather proofing around the window? whatever it is i really need to get it fixed soon before spring. (chicago area gets tons of rain) i dont want to ruin the interior with water because its the original leather and its perfect.

any ideas what it could be?

yeah, it might be the stripping around the windshield. just take off the chrome lip around the outside of the window and see if the rubber is old and cracked. if it is, then its time to replace

Sure sounds like the weatherstrip to me.Take the trim loose and pour some water over it to see if its leaking! If it is replace the weatherstripping. If your headliner needs replaced this would be a good time to do that also as the window will already be out!Good Luck![8D]

Bedding compound might be a temp fix if the rubber is not cracked.
