Default Oil in Engine Valleys

I have this oil leak that puddles in the engine valleys, does anyone know where the leak may be coming from. I thought it was the power steering which was leaking really bad and was just getting dirty, but I fixed that and I still get pools of oil. Could the oil be coming from the manifold or the valve covers? I have a new manifold and carb to put on, but have been hesitant to put them on because the car is running fairly well, except for the oil leak.

I really need to clean my engine bay, it is pretty dirty.

yep, it could be those places and/or where the distributor housing mates to the manifold. Clean up that engine so you can tell.

What you're talking about is the top of the timing cover. Looks to me like a leaky front intake gasket. Go ahead and take the opportunity to swap in the new intake When you get the new gasket set, ditch the cork gaskets and use a 1/4" bead of ultra black RTV on the front and back of the block, with a little more at the corners where the block and heads meet.

Yeah if you want to see where it is coming from, first step would be to clean up that engine.
