Default trunk restoration help?

My next project for my 68' coupe is going to be the trunk[sm=boosign.gif]. I was wondering if anyone has ever done a trunk restoration and could help guide me through the process. I would also like to know what parts I'll need to buy. Here are some pics of the trunk:

What I had to work with...

Evidence of a lefthand rear collision..

Compared to...

Old tank removed..

Back of seat...

Cleaning up the metal, like 6 layers of paint and junk.. I used a combination of chemical stripping, sanding, wire wheel, and a metal scraper...

New tank and clean primed metal... buy one, its worth it

I hated the way the back of the seat looked, so I fabbed up a divider. Diamond plate backed with standard sheet metal and fits flushly. Like the way it turned out...

Put down some sounddeadening on the gastank, area above differential, and back of divider to keep some of the noise out of the cabin...

Slowly but surly making progress. In ther future I hope to have an upholstry shop cover the trunk in black carpet and I also have a aluminum battery relocation box that Im going to mount back there.

Goodluck
