Visited your photobucket link. Exactly what are we seeing here. New metal at the bottom of the left quarter? Right quarter was OK? Maybe some patching over the wheel? Just curious. Looks like you are doing a lot to it.

thats actually a rear quarter patch panel for my driver side. the po had it bondo and duct tape instead of doing the metal patch. i have the do the same to the other side as well
Do you have any higher resolution photos you could post of your quarter repairs? I think I am going to be doing about the same thing and would be interested in seeing more detail. The right side looked OK. You are going to do the same there?
The previous owner told me he patched several places, showed them to meand even gave me the receipts for the metal strap, pop rivets and a quart of Bondo. They are not bad patches, considering. But the Bondo was more than just smoothing. I checked it and those patches are the circled areas. The rest is solid. I do not want to replace entire panels so I was looking at getting the formed lower quarter patch pieces from NPD and using parts of them. The lower patch piece actually includes everything from about five inches above the wheel opening on down. This is the bad side. The drivers side has no problem on the front fender and less problem on the quarter.

u have a nice car. what i did b4 i started cutting was take the new patch and placed it up to the 1/4 and took a marker and marked where the new patch stops. i then cut along the line and slide the new patch in and held it in place with magnets and welding clamps, and spot welded every 6 inches or so making sure i didnt warp the metal and took a hammer to pop any dings out.
